Manor Villages Covid-19:

What is coronavirus (Covid-19)?

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience a mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.  Older people, and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop a serious illness.

What are we doing at Manor Villages?

Here at Manor Villages we are mindful that students, parents and universities rely on us for the well-being and safety of students residing in our accommodation.

We want to offer every assurance that we are taking appropriate measures to ensure that we can deliver as many of our services effectively, whilst also protecting our employees and their families.

Once you move into your new flat, please be aware that your new flatmates will become your new ‘household’ and as such, if anyone shows signs of COVID-19, you would be expected to self-isolate as a whole flat.

Please see below a list of changes that we have implemented as advised by the government:

  • Hand Sanitiser: We have set up hand sanitising stations within each accommodation block to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • PPE: We are providing all staff at Manor Villages with the necessary PPE to ensure everyone’s safety. We will also be offering students face masks upon request to ensure that they feel safe and comfortable.

  • Cleaning: Our cleaners are cleaning and sanitising all communal areas, including entrances, stair wells, lifts and hallways several times throughout the day to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19.

We are implementing these measures to keep everyone safe, however please understand that you are responsible for your own safety inside your flat. Therefore, we ask that you please be mindful when living in shared flats to follow the government guidelines and implement social distancing measures where possible by washing your hands, maintaining high cleaning standards and self-isolating as a flat if you begin to show symptoms.

If you have any concerns with your flatmates surrounding COVID-19, please feel encouraged to speak to our reception team - we are here to help!
